Notice on a slight format change:

Except for July 2012, these are mostly a collection of current devotional notes.

July 2012 is a re-write of old quiet times. My second child was born Nov 11, 1987 with multiple birth defects. I've been re-reading my QT notes from that time in my life, and have included them here. They cover the time before the birth and the few years immediately after the birth. They are tagged "historical." I added new insights and labeled them: ((TODAY, dd mmm yy)).

QT 13 Aug 15, Isa 32:8, Seek Noble Things

Isa 32:8 (ESV) But he who is noble plans noble things,
and on noble things he stands.

NOTE: This verse is set in contrast to the fool and the ungodly, who plan wickedly and deliver things that do not satisfy or quench. They are evil because they prevent the truth from going forth. The noble man is good and true. He plans things that achieve a good and true purpose. He stands upon the things that are good and true. The word of God is good and true and its foundation is strong. It satisfies and quenches those who thirst for truth. It opens up our mind. It helps us to escape the lies of the worldview that is all around us, because we see what is true and what is not. We need to continue to saturate ourselves in truth, in the word of God, for that is a noble undertaking.
