July 2012 is a re-write of old quiet times. My second child was born Nov 11, 1987 with multiple birth defects. I've been re-reading my QT notes from that time in my life, and have included them here. They cover the time before the birth and the few years immediately after the birth. They are tagged "historical." I added new insights and labeled them: ((TODAY, dd mmm yy)).

QT 7 Dec 17, Prov 2:20-21, God's word can protect us against sexual sin

Proverbs 2:20–21 (ESV) — 20 So you will walk in the way of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will inhabit the land,
and those with integrity will remain in it,
The danger is adultery or fornication, a sin that our society no longer sees as grave as God sees it. The secret to protection from sin, is the wisdom of God's word washing the world's way of thinking away.
We need God's word so much today. The world wants to enslave us in its system of values. God offers real freedom by obedience to him. It doesn't seem that way, because the world wants us to be "free" from God, but they only offer a different type of slavery that leads to death.
God protect me from the world's way of thinking. Wash me in the word. Protect me from the evil one's schemes.
