Jer
32:16-27
|
Jeremiah 32:27 (ESV) — “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is
anything too hard for me?
|
God is
not defined by circumstances or opportunities. God can do as he wants and as
he chooses. God can make things appear out of nothing, let alone change
circumstances if he chooses.
|
God is
sovereign but that does not mean he causes or even ordains all the actions of
mankind. God allows us to continue in our rebellion for a time. For
believers, he promises to bring good out of the evil in the world, much of it
not in his desire. We need not fear. There is nothing too hard for God, if he
chooses to intervene.
|
Lord,
for me, the issue is waiting upon you. I believe you can do whatever you
choose. But, I also realize how undeserving I am. I realize your plans are
often different than mine. And so I need to wait. Help me in my waiting.

These are just some random entries from my quiet times. Not all are included, as some are private or not very interesting.
Notice on a slight format change:
Except for July 2012, these are mostly a collection of current devotional notes.
July 2012 is a re-write of old quiet times. My second child was born Nov 11, 1987 with multiple birth defects. I've been re-reading my QT notes from that time in my life, and have included them here. They cover the time before the birth and the few years immediately after the birth. They are tagged "historical." I added new insights and labeled them: ((TODAY, dd mmm yy)).
