2 Corinthians 5:20–21 (ESV) — 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making
his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to
God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
NOTE: This is our
message. Jesus has taken all of our sins and nailed them to the cross. There is
nothing you have done that has not been forgiven at the cross. Our job is to
reconcile sinners to their savior. He wants you to become part of the family, to
receive forgiveness, and a new life. There is nothing you have to do but
believe. And there is no sin left but the sin of unbelief. That sin alone will
send you to hell for eternity. To not believe in the only son of God is a sin
because it is attested beyond any reasonable measure. To not believe is to
choose hell over life, and for that choice, you will receive just what you
believe. Oh world, open your eyes to our savior.
PRAYER: Lord, my
world is becoming darker by the hours. The eyes of so many are blinded by sin
and the deceits of Satan. They have willfully chosen not to believe. They are
willfully choosing to sin against you. Have mercy. Show them your truth. Get
their attention before it is too late.
