QT 10/4/2023 Ezek 47:13-23, God's word has only one interpretation and it is understandable

Ezekiel 47:21–23 (ESV) —

21 “So you shall divide this land among you according to the tribes of Israel. 22 You shall allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the sojourners who reside among you and have had children among you. They shall be to you as native-born children of Israel. With you they shall be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. 23 In whatever tribe the sojourner resides, there you shall assign him his inheritance, declares the Lord God.

 

NOTE: In the preceding verses, the passage defines the border cities that outline the land of Israel in the future. I think this is one of the greatest arguments against the reformed position (Reformed churches believe that the church replaces all prophecies directed to Israel and should be interpreted non-literally). God did not give these specific instructions (vss 47:13-20) to ignore the named cities and named pieces of land. Clearly the God of Israel gave specific promises because he intends to fulfill them specifically. The reformed position makes no sense nor does an interpretation as such follow the rules of logic. The application is to read scripture as you would any book and follow the scientific principles of discovery and reading.

PRAYER: God, thank you that your word is clear and logical. The enemy has tried to confuse the issue by arguing that the bible is some type of magical mishmash of unrelated instruction with wide-open interpretations. It is not and the enemy has deceived many with his approach. Father, open the eyes of the blind to see this confusion. Help them to see truth.
