Notice on a slight format change:

Except for July 2012, these are mostly a collection of current devotional notes.

July 2012 is a re-write of old quiet times. My second child was born Nov 11, 1987 with multiple birth defects. I've been re-reading my QT notes from that time in my life, and have included them here. They cover the time before the birth and the few years immediately after the birth. They are tagged "historical." I added new insights and labeled them: ((TODAY, dd mmm yy)).

QT 25 Nov 19, Mal 4:5-6, The Day of the Lord is most assuredly coming

Malachi 4:5–6 (ESV) — 5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”

NOTE: These are the last words of Malachi. It starts out in verse 1 with the Day of the Lord and the upcoming judgment. Elijah preceded the last days, but Israel rejected the Messiah, resulting in the church age, which will end and this short period of time will culminate in God's judgment through the tribulation and the establishment of the millennial rule of Christ on earth. It is coming. Prophecy has been fulfilled in absolute accuracy regarding his first coming. He will come again and with absolute accuracy fulfill the remaining prophecies.

PRAYER: Father, I am so glad that I know the truth. I am so glad that I know the savior. I look forward to the end of the ages. My heart pains for this wicked and lost world. We are hurting ourselves with our stupid beliefs that put human wisdom above your timeless wisdom. Forgive us.
