Matthew 10:28 (ESV) — And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
|
Why do we fear the
world? Why are we so worried that someone might think we are a Christian? No
one would probably say that, but isn't it true. We don't stand up for Christ
because don't want to be identified with believers, or at least certain
believers. Well maybe we should create a new definition of a Christian for
our friends by standing up, identifying, and living a life worthy of Jesus
Christ.
|
Father, give me
the courage and boldness to share my faith and to identify with you. Help me
to live such a godly and loving life that other's view of what a Christian is
would change. Help me to be the witness that I should be.

These are just some random entries from my quiet times. Not all are included, as some are private or not very interesting.
Notice on a slight format change:
Except for July 2012, these are mostly a collection of current devotional notes.
July 2012 is a re-write of old quiet times. My second child was born Nov 11, 1987 with multiple birth defects. I've been re-reading my QT notes from that time in my life, and have included them here. They cover the time before the birth and the few years immediately after the birth. They are tagged "historical." I added new insights and labeled them: ((TODAY, dd mmm yy)).
